ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Do we still need to celebrate Christmas? Christmas is the most special occassion that we need to celebrate on the month of december.

December, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind! Christmas is about loving, caring, and giving. It is really true that it is better to give than to receive. The day of Christmas is really worth celebrating for because this day is a wonderful day to everyone and to be with your loved ones. And also about togetherness, laughing, telling, remembering happy moments and giving gifts and love top one another

As we celebrate the birth of our savior, let's be human ad kind enough to remember and show some love to those motherless babies, helpless orphans, beggars and all those who are not fortunate enough to be actively involved in the celebration of the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

CHILDREN'S MONTH

October, the month dedicated to children, we believe that children are priceless treasures and gifts from God, and as such, it is our conviction that the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of children should be amply and competently met. Be proud in every child because they are the hope and future of one nation.
Children plays a role in our society, they serve as the happiness of one's individual specially the old ones in our society. But sometimes children who are supposed to have fun became slaves and being violated with no reason. At young age, they also deserve respect. They deserve to be have a say, heard and they deserve to not live in fear of punishment and loved especially they are still on their young age where they need to be guided from the older ones.
Let's not hate them for doing wrong things because they have still many years to correct their mistakes.

Gadgets are helpful to students like us, these can be very useful in research and understanding things better. These can also help with the communication of every family member especially when they are distant or away to each. We can reach our families and friends when we are in trouble and have their virtual presence with video call using these gadgets.

It is true that gadgets are really useful to us, but we must always be responsible in using our gadgets. Let us know our limits in using them.

REFLECTION

During the second quarter, I learned about internet access. I learned how the internet works. I also learned how to make an html file. And because of that I realized all the hardworks of the people behind internet. Internet is really interesting and gives us eveything. This quarter I learned to appreciate Internet more. Internet gives us many opportunity in our lives.

Memorizing the html tags was  one of the challenges I’ve encountered. There were a lot of tags and I wasn’t familiar to html so i struggle remembering it. But in the end, having time management was the answer to my problem. I spent some time alone learning and memorizing it. I also experienced making an html file and it was a lot of fun!

I will share my knowledge about Internet access and html file to my fellow students. All in all, I had fun this second quarter.

EMBRACING OUR CULTURE

We celebrate UN for everyone to know every countries culture and to promote human rights. Every November, schools in Philippines celebrate this by wearing traditional costumes of each country. This celebration is important because it helps us,especially students to raise awareness against racism and discrimination. Yes we have different cultures but we need to embrace it. We need to embrace our differences. We need to know that we may have different beliefs, in the end we are still one and the same in the eyes of God.

Embrace who we are. Accept who we are. Don’t judge someone based on their color and culture. In the end, we need each other for world peace. We are the answer in shaping a better world.

MY TEACHER IS MY SAVIOR

Teacher is a person who determination, efforts, and time can build a successful future to her student. A teacher plays an important role in student. They are our mentor, supporter, and parent. We celebrate teacher’s month to celebrate for teacher’s good heart. They may be tired in their house, they are still able to smile and teach us. We need to respect and love them because it is only the way to pay back their sacrifices for us. They are the most good role model to everyone.

Teaching is not a easy job. It needs a lot of determination. We should not underestimate them. They saved us in drowning failure. They held us up to success. So don’t forget to thank them and pay tributes to them.

SCIENCE IS EVERYTHING

Science is  everything.Humans, machines, phone, televisions and everything is connected to science. Everything we touch and see is connected to science. We celebrate science month to let people know that it may be one of the most hardest subject in school, it is still one of the most important thing we need to study. It is to raise knowledge of students in dealing with science with different branches. Physics,Chemistry,Earth science and Biology. Students can widen their knowledge in science by participating quizzes, contest, and seminar in the said celebration. The whole science month is a lot of fun and interesting things for us to find out.

The great scientist who discovered a lot of things don’t receive enough recognition. We need to know more about them, and thank them because their works benefit us and they are good role models for the next generation of students.

“UGALIING MAGTANIM SAPAT NA NUTRISYON AANIHIN”

Nutrition Month is held every July of the year and it is a campaign to create awareness on the importance of nutrition among Filipinos. This years theme is “Ugaliing magtanim, sapat na nutrisyon aanihin”.

I think the main purpose of the theme is to invest on something healthy so you can live longer and healthier. If we are strict on consuming a “balanced diet” food everyday, it can really help us protect our self from any viruses. Our immune system will become healthier than the usual. Remember that exercising also has a big impact in our body. It can help lower cholesterol, and it’s good for the heart.

Nutrition month is not restricting us to eat, it’s just reminding us to moderately consume unhealthy food, and helping us enjoy life with a healthy body. This campaign should be for all, not just for students, and this should be implemented every July, it should be everyday. Have a healthy lifestyle and live a better life.

SONA 2018

“What a change a week can make,” marvelled one foreign diplomat, exiting the National Assembly gallery after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s first State of the Nation Address. It was a sentiment being expressed in various forms all over Parliament’s precinct.
Ramaphosa’s mentions of a crackdown on corruption caused mocking cries of “Aaaaaaace” from the EFF caucus, in reference to ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule and his supporters’ war cry. When the president said that the country’s law enforcement agencies should prosecute “any and all acts of corruption”, EFF MPs mimed handcuffs at their counterparts among the ANC ranks. And when President Ramaphosa affirmed his commitment to the principle of land expropriation without compensation, EFF MPs stood up and danced in their seats. To the right, the MPs of the Freedom Front Plus sat stony-faced, taking detailed notes.
The EFF gave Ramaphosa an easy ride. A line in his speech about deaths in the mining industry – “one mining fatality is one too many” – would have seemed certain to cause reminders from the Fighters about Marikana, the issue they have previously been determined that Ramaphosa should not forget as his legacy at Lonmin. On this occasion, they let it go.

LETTER TO PRESIDENT

Dear Mr. President,

Congratulations as the new President of the Philippines. Being president of our country must be really burdensome and stressful for you thats why I pray that your term will be fruitful and I look forward for the improvements of our country. The Filipinos wanted to change, they are tired in hearing beautiful speeches without being transformed into concrete actions to help the poor and oppressed.

Many people are still facing the same problems as to where to find money to buy medicine, food and other common needs and many parents cannot afford to send their children to school because lack of financial capacity. More so, the youth have the power to reshape the nation's present appearance. I sugguest your execellency that your office will be concerned with this issues on this poor education system.

I want that Filipinos should live comfortably in our own nation. I believe in what you said that we should stop corruption in our country.  We should always embrace unity and stability so that will have a stable and developed economy. God bless Mr. President.

Respectfully Yours,

FREEDOM

Better to die fighting for freedom than be a prisoner all the days of your life. Life without liberty is like a body without spirit. Those who won our independence believed liberty to be the secret of happiness  and courage to be the secret of liberty.

We celebrate our country's independence day because we were set free from the invaders. Originally July 4 was  the day designated to celebrate the country's independence. How ever, due to nationalist sentiments and advice of historians, Independence day was moved to June 12, the day it gained independence from Spain.

Our Independence Day reminds us of our glorious past, our achievements and failures and the sacrifices of the innumerable martyrs to the cause of freedom. It inspires us to stand united and work together forgetting the differences of caste, creed and language.
